How to install

Install the Downloader app

On Fire TV, use the search on the home screen to find Downloader (by AFTVnews) and install it: it is free. On Google TV / Android TV, install it from the Google Play Store.

Allow Downloader to install apps

On Fire TV go to Settings > My Fire TV > About and press the device name 7 times: Developer options appear. Then open Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options > Install unknown apps and turn on Downloader. On Google TV / Android TV open Settings > Apps > Security & restrictions > Unknown sources and turn on Downloader.

Download and install

Press Go: the APK downloads (about 60 MB). When it finishes, press Install.

Open BurgTV and add your source

Open BurgTV from the apps on your device. On first launch, add your source from the welcome screen; later, from Settings > My Lists > Add playlist: M3U playlist, Xtream Codes, Jellyfin or Portal.

Fire OS, not Vega OS: newer Fire TV devices running Vega OS (Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Fire TV Stick HD 2nd generation and Fire TV Stick 4K 3rd generation) cannot install Android apps or APK files. BurgTV works on Fire TV devices running Fire OS, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Cube.

Allow installs from unknown sources

Go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps (the path varies a little between phones) and allow the browser or file manager you will use.

Open the downloaded file

When the download finishes, tap the notification, or open the Downloads folder and tap the file burgtv-mobile-…-release.apk.

Install

Tap Install. Android may show a Play Protect warning: this is normal for apps installed outside the Play Store. Tap Install anyway.

Open BurgTV and add your source

Open BurgTV from your app list and add your source: M3U playlist, Xtream Codes, Jellyfin or Portal. Enjoy watching!

Is BurgTV legal?
Yes. BurgTV is a neutral media player, like VLC or Kodi: it does not host, distribute or provide any content. You are responsible for using only sources you have the right to watch. Details in the Terms of Service; to report a copyright infringement, use the DMCA procedure.
Does BurgTV provide channels or streams?
No. BurgTV does not provide, sell or recommend any content or provider: it only plays the source you add.
Which sources can I use?
M3U or M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes accounts (server, username and password), your own Jellyfin server, or a Portal (address and MAC). Use only legitimate sources that you have the right to watch.
Where do I download BurgTV and how do I update it?
For iPhone and iPad, from the App Store, which updates it automatically. For TV (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV) and Android phones, from this page, download.burgtv.com: the app checks for new versions by itself and lets you know, and you can always download it again here. Other APK sites are not official channels.
Is it safe to install an APK outside the Play Store?
Yes, if you download it from here. BurgTV APKs are signed with our official key, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of each file is shown on GitHub on the releases page (TV, Android phones); for the TV it is also in download.burgtv.com/version.json. Play Protect may show a warning because the app does not come from the Play Store: this is normal.
Is there a Premium version?
The rules are the same on TV and on Android phones: free with one playlist, live TV, 10 favorite channels, a 3-day guide and parental controls. Premium unlocks unlimited playlists, Movies and Series, catch-up, timeshift up to 120 minutes, Picture-in-Picture, reminders, a 14-day guide, offline viewing on phones and, on TV only, Multi-View, recordings and profiles. The license is sold at app.burgtv.com: CHF 8.90 per year (7 days free) or CHF 25.90 once, and it works on 5 devices in total across TV and Android. On Android phones everything is included until November 10, 2026, and anyone using the app before that date gets 3 months of Premium as a gift. On iPhone and iPad, Premium is purchased separately in the App Store.
Can I get a refund?
For the license bought at app.burgtv.com: if you live in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw, a right you lose when you ask for the digital service to be activated immediately. After activation there are no refunds, except for documented malfunctions attributable to BurgTV. App Store purchases follow Apple's rules. The rights that the law of your country grants to consumers always remain unaffected. Details in the Terms.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Sign in at app.burgtv.com, open Account and press Manage subscription: you can cancel there. Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid; the lifetime license does not renew. If you bought Premium on iPhone or iPad, cancel it in your Apple ID settings, under Subscriptions.
Does BurgTV work without internet?
Not on TV: BurgTV streams your source and needs a stable connection. On phones and tablets there is offline viewing of movies and episodes from your source, when the source allows it: on iPhone and iPad with the App Store Premium, on Android with Premium from November 10, 2026 (included until then).
Does BurgTV collect my data?
No ads and no tracking. Anonymous crash reports and, only with your consent, anonymous usage statistics. Movie information, subtitles and age ratings are looked up through our server without personal data. Details in the privacy policy.
